Food Choices & Climate Change: Diets That Make a Difference - Dr. Jolene Bowers

Dr. Jolene Bowers is a public health scientist with a Ph.D. in molecular biology, specializing in our impact on our environment and the influences our environment has on us, as we are all in a "One Health" ecosystem. In her research, she has discovered that switching to a whole-food, plant-based diet is a powerful way to help curb most, if not all, of our primary public health threats, including our current climate crisis.

Microgreens & Composting

James Skeet and his wife Joyce founded the educational non-profit Covenant Pathways and established Spirit Farm — a demonstration farm focused on healing the high desert soil with the intentional use of composting and microbiology. Their goal is to reclaim traditional farming and spiritual practices and pair them with regenerative methods to achieve resiliency and food sovereignty in the local Navajo and Zuni communities.
