Sustainability 101

If you have ever wondered what “sustainability” really means and what we can do about climate change then this is a presentation meant for you. This presentation will explore the solutions that have been put forward by research teams at university and government agencies and by many private groups and individuals looking to reduce their own carbon footprints. Global and regional plans to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050 will be discussed.

Global Climate Strike - (March at NAU!)

Global Climate Strike @ NAU!

Join us this Friday (9/24) at 12PM on the north end of University Union on NAU's campus to demand climate action at NAU and the broader Flagstaff community! We will be marching through campus, ending at Flagstaff City Hall, to demand Carbon Neutrality by 2030 in NAU's new climate action plan.

On September 24th, thousands of climate strikes will take place across the globe to demand intersectional climate justice. Join us as we take to the streets nationwide together with Fridays for Future.

Climate Change 101

If you have ever wondered about what aspects of climate are really changing then this is a presentation meant for you. The current scientific understanding of climate change will be presented as well as the effects of these changes on Arizona ecosystems, on human wellbeing, and on the Arizona and US economies. Regional climate change and regional economic impacts will also be discussed.

The IPCC Report, Climate Change & Action

Join other Flagstaff community members at 6:00PM on Thursday, August 19th, via Zoom for an educational event covering the newest IPCC report. Presenters will cover key points from the report, discuss the updates compared to previous reports, and examine how this report can inspire climate action.

This event is co-hosted by the City of Flagstaff Sustainability Office, Grand Canyon Trust, Northern Arizona Climate Change Alliance, Friends of Flagstaff's Future, and Arizona Students' Association.
